About the Company:
Our client, a growth-focused ASX-listed metals producer is currently searching for a Processing Superintendent. A key leadership position within the processing plant, offered via FIFO or residential on site in Tasmania. 

Position Summary:

The Processing Superintendent is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the processing plant, ensuring efficient and safe processing of ore materials. This role involves supervising a team of operators, maintaining equipment, and optimising production processes to achieve operational goals. The Processing Superintendent plays a critical role in ensuring that the plant operates smoothly and efficiently, meeting production targets while maintaining high safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of operators and other personnel involved in the processing operations.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and procedures, promoting a culture of safety within the team.
  • Monitor and control mill performance to achieve production targets and optimise efficiency.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process efficiency and product quality.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues promptly to minimise impact on production.
  • Maintain accurate records of production, maintenance, and safety activities.
  • Train and mentor team members, fostering a collaborative and skilled workforce.
  • Liaise with other departments to ensure smooth coordination of activities and resources.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of operational plans and budgets.
Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in supervisory position/s within metals processing operations, ideally at Foreman or Superintendent level.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Solid understanding of safety and environmental regulations.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
