The Company
Our client, a growth-focused critical minerals producer, is currently searching for a Processing Manager. Tasmania site-based location with FIFO or residential options on offer. 

Position Overview:
The Processing Manager will oversee daily plant production operations. The position requires an experienced operations leader, ideally with strength and technical expertise in flotation and gravity processing strategies. The Processing Manager will ensure the plant operates efficiently and safely while improving and optimising production processes to achieve the company's operational goals.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the processing plant, ensuring efficient and safe production.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve processing methods to maximise recovery rates, throughput and overall plant performance.
  • Ensure all processing activities comply with health, safety and environmental regulations, fostering a culture of safety within the team.
  • Lead, mentor and develop the processing team, promoting a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Develop and manage the processing department budget, ensuring cost-effective operations while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
  • Implement and maintain rigorous quality control procedures to ensure the production of high-quality metals.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on plant performance and production metrics to executive management.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in metals processing, with a strong background in flotation and gravity processes.
  • Proven track record of managing, optimising and improving plant operations.
  • In-depth knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience leading and developing technical teams.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with track record driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience in budget management.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
