The Company Our client, an ASX-listed Gold company is currently searching for a Senior Exploration Geologist. The company is focused on advancing it’s flagship gold project in the WA Goldfields and is searching for a skilled and experienced gold discovery specialist to support advancement of company activities.
About the Role The role will play a critical part in supporting both field-based exploration activities and corporate project generation assessments. The successful candidate will work on a campaign-based working arrangement from Perth, supporting fieldwork at the flagship project in the Goldfields while also assisting the executive group in evaluating new project opportunities.
Key Responsibilities: - Lead and support field exploration programs, including geological mapping, sampling and drilling campaigns at the flagship gold project.
- Plan, execute and oversee exploration activities, ensuring best-practice geological and safety standards.
- Analyse data to refine exploration targets and contribute to drill planning and future resource development initiatives.
- Support preparation of technical reports, exploration updates and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist the executive group with project generation assessments, including due diligence on potential acquisition opportunities and technical reviews of exploration projects.
- Manage contractor relationships, ensuring efficient and cost-effective delivery of exploration services.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, heritage and regulatory requirements.
Skills & Experience: - Degree in Geology, Geoscience or a related field.
- Minimum 8+ years of mineral exploration experience, preferably with time spent in the WA Goldfields.
- Strong field-based exploration experience, including drill program management.
- Proven ability to interpret geological datasets and define mineralisation trends.
- Experience with GIS and 3D geological modelling software (e.g., Leapfrog, Micromine, or similar).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess and generate new exploration targets.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders.
- A proactive and hands-on approach, with the ability to work independently and in team settings.
