Our client, a Perth-based and ASX-listed mine developer, is currently seeking an experienced Senior Mine Geologist to join its leadership team. In this role, the chosen candidate will be part of a dedicated team driven to execute geological activities at the company’s key gold development project in WA.
Responsibilities: - Design grade control drilling programs (blast hole and reverse circulation drilling);
- Capture and validate grade control drilling and QAQC data;
- Model geology and mineralisation for grade estimation by the appropriate geostatistical method;
- Design mineable ore blocks that account for blast movement (heave and throw), ore classification and material types;
- Capture, validate and reconcile ore spotting and production data for daily reporting;
- Manage ROM material types for stockpiling, rehandling and sampling for toll treatment;
- Pit mapping programs that capture geological data and integrate it into forward-looking grade control and mineral resource models.
Requirements: - Tertiary degree qualification in a relevant geoscience discipline;
- Prior experience with gold mineralisation systems;
- Experience with reverse circulation (RC) drilling, sample management, QAQC procedures and geological logging;
- Experience with Leapfrog or Surpac software;
- Experience with mine reconciliation systems and periodic reporting;
- Effective communication skills to relay technical information and activities to other stakeholders;
- Hold a current and valid manual C class driver’s license and be an experienced off-road driver.
