The Company: Our client, a TSXV-listed mineral exploration company focused on advancing copper-gold porphyry projects in Eurasia, is seeking a Vice President Exploration. With a strong asset portfolio and a strategic partnership with a global mining producer, the company is positioned for substantial growth and requires an experienced exploration leader to drive the technical direction and development of its projects.
The Role: As Vice President Exploration, you will be responsible for overseeing and executing the company's exploration and resource development strategy. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will lead field programs, manage exploration teams and refine geological models to maximise project potential. This role requires a hands-on approach, with a strong focus on target generation, drilling programs and advancing discoveries toward development.
Key Responsibilities: - Develop and execute the exploration strategy for copper-gold porphyry projects in Eurasia.
- Oversee drilling campaigns, resource delineation and geological modelling.
- Manage exploration teams, consultants and contractors across multiple jurisdictions.
- Work closely with the company's strategic partner to align exploration programs with development objectives.
- Provide technical leadership on geological interpretations, geochemical and geophysical data integration.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, environmental and permitting requirements.
- Communicate technical results effectively to the Board, investors and strategic partners.
- Identify and evaluate new exploration and acquisition opportunities.
Experience Requirements: - A degree in Geology, Earth Sciences or a related discipline; postgraduate qualifications will be well regarded.
- A seasoned exploration leader with 12+ years of experience in mineral exploration, ideally with copper-gold porphyry experience.
- Strong track record in designing and executing successful exploration programs.
- Experience in managing teams across multiple jurisdictions and working in emerging mining regions.
- Technical expertise in 3D geological modelling, drill targeting and resource estimation.
- Familiarity with NI 43-101 reporting standards.
- Ability to work collaboratively with major mining companies, JV partners and government stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills, with ability to work collaboratively and independently.
